Terry Baines

My early working life was spent in the Army, serving with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, seeing active service in Northern Ireland and the Falklands conflict. I am now a Retail Manager working locally. I am a family man with children attending local schools.

I am very community focussed, running a residents association locally with my wife and chairing a local community centre management committee. I am also the Chairman of Campbell Park Parish Council and the Bucks and Milton Keynes Association of Local Councils.

Working with Councillor Peter McDonald in the Campbell Park and Old Woughton ward, we have successfully secured the continued use of green spaces on Springfield, Woolstone and Woughton on the Green, as well as Stantonbury and Bletchley. We successfully had these officially declared as ‘Village Greens’. We will continue to ensure our green spaces are available for future generations of residents to enjoy, and not support development on these areas.

Considering the current state of our roads and redways, I will fight to ensure that they are brought up to a standard that is safe for all users.

As a veteran, I am passionate about ensuring that Milton Keynes Council enacts the Armed Forces Covenant, making sure serving and ex-forces personnel are treated with the dignity and care they deserve.

As a Milton Keynes Councillor, I pledge to do the very best I can to represent the residents of Campbell Park and Old Woughton and the wider Borough of Milton Keynes.
