Conservative Councillors in Milton Keynes are celebrating the incredible efforts of Thames Valley Police and Milton Keynes City Council’s Community Safety Team as they continue to deliver Crime Prevention Roadshows across the city this week.

The roadshows—packed with practical advice, crime prevention tools, and helpful resources—have been described as a “one-stop shop” for residents to learn how to protect themselves, their families, and their property. It offers a great opportunity for residents to seek advice and minimise their risk of becoming a victim of crime.

Conservative Group Leader, Cllr Shazna Muzammil, who dropped in on Monday at the Bletchley Tesco event, praised the officers and council teams involved:

“These roadshows represent the very best of local partnership working. I want to thank our amazing Thames Valley Police officers and the dedicated staff from our Council’s Community Safety Team who are out in the community this week. They’ve been engaging with residents, answering questions, and equipping people with the tools and knowledge to stay safe. Their warmth, professionalism, and commitment to serving our city should make every resident feel proud.”

Cllr Keith McLean dropped into Tuesday’s (8th April) session in Stony Stratford and was impressed by the engagement from residents and the resources available from the roadshows.

He said “It was good to meet residents, Thames Valley Police officers and members of the Council’s Community Safety team. The breadth of material that was on show was varied in style and offered something for everybody to take away after they had had a chance to ask questions of the officers. One thing the TVP officers promoted is if you see something that does not look right then report it by using the Thames Valley Police website or call 101. These reports help the police to target their resources. They also advised that do not assume someone else must have seen it, just do it!”

The Crime Prevention Roadshows continue across Milton Keynes this week, and local Conservative councillors are urging residents to make the most of the opportunity to speak to the officers and grab some advice on keeping your families and community safe.
