Milton Keynes’s yellow bollards and green spaces have been given a sprint clean by Conservative councillors with Conservative Cllrs completing their “100-bollard challenge”.
The local Conservative group, led in their redecorating efforts by Tattenhoe Councillor James Lancaster, said they wanted to bring some pride back into ‘our communities’ and help keep MK clean and tidy.
They set themselves a 100 bollard challenge, and this week, hit the milestone. These include bollards across Milton Keynes in such areas as Furzton, Newport Pagnell, Shenley Lodge, Tattenhoe and Stantonbury.
Cllr Lancaster said: “Residents have been raising with us how untidy MK is looking right now so we really wanted to get out there and show MK some serious TLC.
We’ve now repainted 100 yellow bollards which is great to keep our communities looking cleaner while we’ve also been cleaning street signs and helping pick up litter.
It is important that our residents can feel a sense of pride in their area.”
