Government announces massive new investment in housing

Chancellor Phillip Hammond has announced an increase in Government expenditure on Housing.  On top of the £3bn homebuilder fund already announced by Sajid Javid, Secretary of State for Communities, the Chancellor announced a further £2.3bn to fund 100,000 new houses in areas of high demand, plus a further £1.4bn to build 40,000 new affordable homes.
